How about doing some simple things like using the filters. Most of that porn is spam related & is wmv. Filter wmv out & instead choose a real video format like avi or mpeg/mpg. See: autogenerated spam results It's also time you started to recognise the common file sizes of those files.They're always the same. All those jpgs & wmv's - no movie is so small in size.

There shouldn't be porn in Limewire in the first place really... They should ban ne1 that has pedo porn in limewire coz 1:- it's illegal and 2:- it's sick!!!

LW has no control over what people share. If you put up some porn to share. How is anybody going to stop you other than by blocking you. By the way, LW is sharing b/w people it has nothing to do with any central server like napster. You could be downlding from your next door neighbour or somebody from the opposite side of the planet. This is called the Gnutella network & there's more than just LW that uses it. There's quite a no. of programs that use it. This is a Gnutella forum so if you look at the various sections you'll notice there's lots of others & also many that don't have a section on this forum.

I know that but they should have some control atleast for the porn, they should have some sort of user scan that locates the people with the porn and ban them from using Limewire... there fore making the world a better place

Each person can block those who share such or report them. And LW & this forum have voluntarily worked with the FBI to weed out a few of those involved in child porn. And good on them.

Why is Bardock ranting and raving, why is he (or she) so keen on getting things banned?

Could be he (or she) is a closet politician looking for a soapbox to make irrational speeches from.

Personally, I think Bardock should be banned until he has something sensible to say or useful to contribute.

strange to hear someone complaining that porn is wrong because it gets in the way of them downloading COPYRIGHTED material for free....ahhh the irony....

I can't say ban the porn BUT I am too sick and tired of looking for a movie and getting NOTHING even related to the title. If I type in "Strangers on a train" I'll get "Lets pull a train on the starngers"!

This is probably the main issue I have with Limewire is the lack of movie downloads and the seperating them out program.
