Lime Wire copyright fines in UK?

some work mates told me that some Lime wire users were fined by UK police/copyright for downloading copyright music, aparently it was in the news on friday/saturday


i have not seen anything about it on limewire ec.. anyone care to enlighten me?

well as i do/did use it, i dont want a snoty letter telling me i owe ££££'s in fines! i do know (from work m8s) that ONE of the guys done sold the music on, and another was only a teenager whos mum payed the fine for...

dont know what chanel it was on, but 3 of em told me about it on monday

i do not sell the music on, most is for my own listening, occasionaly have done a disk up for a m8.

Well, if you wanna know about the legality issues of using LW, then run a search in the LW section of the forums for "legal" (the search button is located at the top right of the page)

Fancy having the cheek to sell the music on. I wonder what else they sell. What an idiot! It's those that then copy to cd to sell are the ones who get targeted & the idiot didn't even do it from the original cd's. Of course that's straight out copyright breach. Sorry to hear they rubbished the principle p2p in the process.
