I have never been able to download an exe file, but now I need too and am not able to do so. It does nothing when I click the download button. I am using LimWire 4.6.0

Please help me to download these type files.

What it generally does is give you a warning that such a file may contain a virus. But you should still be able to downld it. Better still would be to choose a zip or rar file.

It does not even give me a choice it does nothing. I need to download just one exe file from my brother and can not accomplish it. Everyone says they get this screen where they have to choose to download an exe file, but I do not even get that screen. I have uninstalled ane reinstalled limewire without any luck. Do you haave any suggestions on how to get it to download exe files???

OK you must have cancelled the pop up at some stage or selected always use this answer. Go to Tools>Options>View>Popups & tick Revert to default box & press Apply button.
