I think I errased the main soft and thats why I cant do the update.

Anyone knows where can I download the main soft, not the update couse update updates the soft that already is on the Ipods HDD, and I think I ereased the main soft.

Anyone knows on what site can i find it ?

Apple! If you own a mac you could try a system restore using disk utility. Otherwise search here: http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

Oh come to think of it!!! You have a cd-rom that comes with the iPod that has the softw. on it. I hope you bought yours & didn't well ...

Yes I got my CD, but there is no soft to my iPOD.

I need the main soft, that is on your iPOD when you buy it. Its not empty, its allready good to use. And i think i ereased that, thats why i need it to install that on my ipod to make it work ..

Perhaps you deleted iTunes but I'm not so sure it's possible to delete the main program. I'd have imagined it works from a rom (but I don't know.) Have you recharged the batteries lately? iPod does start to become a little stubborn function wise if the batteries are low. Are you using it for mac or windows?

It isn't possible to erase iPod's OS.
At least it shouldn't be possible.

I recharged my battery, thats not the point, the battery is really fine, its not it. I got windows.

murasame, I am the best exeple that you can erease Ipods OS, the wuestion is how to restore it or install it from the beginig ?

I would recommend 2 things: 1. Post on the iPod forum (there's a link in the Sticky in this section about iPod & iTunes.) 2. Search the Apple support section & faq.
