:mad: Hi don't know if anyone can help so here goes! On 3.305 i found the following site after talking to a friend of mine. http://www.mp3downloading.com/Shared.../ewticket.asp.

Joining was according to the sign up screen FREE only $9.99 a month. Weyhey i thought thats cheap so i joined. WHAT A CON. As soon as you hit the submit button you are instantly charged £23.85. I can't cancel it as my card is a debit card and the bank won't listen and despite several emails to above company no joy. Am not a greeny, just very STUPID so anyone else BEWARE this site. Any suggestions as to what to do now?

I think you might not have read the terms thouroughly enough. I know the site you are mentioning, what they do is they have grouped pricing plans. You probably chose one that's every so often your card is charged a certain amount. So you're still getting the service, they are just charging you for maybe 3 months in advance or something.

The softw they use is Etomi which is a variation on LW. It's a copy. Since LW's code is not copyright/patented, some people do their own variations. There's been people with problems with that softw coming here before. That is a scam site alright. You'll see it & others known of listed here: Known Scam Sites (click on link)
Contact the bank that you wish to cancel any further transactions with that company site. Most banks & credit companies have some type of dept that deals with fraud & policing of transactions. So perhaps you should investigate further with your bank to speak to the right people. Perhaps phone the main branch/head office & ask which dept you should speak to so you're in the right direction.

I did read the terms thoroughly, and i wnet for the third option, which is $9.99 a month with NO mention of any other fees. Have been in contact with my bank and have filled in a Switch Dsipute form so hopefully i can get my money back!:rolleyes:

Thanks, yes as soon as the screen changed the night i signed up i sent them an email via their boards telling them i wanted to cancel the payment, i have a copy of the email i sent them and also the one i sent 2day so we shall see what happens. I find it very ironic that their chat boards are always unavailable for people to try to contact them and also that the phone number is in the states(at least i think thats where it is oh well you live and learn hohum.
