![]() >Security Update!! >All LimeWire users of versions prior to 4.8 must upgrade. I don't get it I've still not found an explaination of what the problem is. I know it was only announced properly this morning...have I just missed the detailed explanation somewhere. I would like to know risks I have been exposed to using 4.6, if any. Please enlighten me. |

![]() Haw-Haw....stop, no more please...<gasp!> ..okokok..I couldn't stand it any longer...I'm now on 4.8.. I have a suspicision though that the security alert was just a rouse to get us all on the same version to improve overall network performance. Awhile back, upgrading to 4.6 was much better for me with the UPnP port forwarding since I'd never got round to fiddling with mydg834 manually...UPnP seemed to utilise my bandwidth much better..less "handshaking" I suppose... ..Tuesday eh?..is it warm or cold there? |

![]() Thanks DT. Pretty serious vulnerability then. Glad its been fixed. I can understand not explaining what the security issue was now - untill all users could be made aware. But I think the trumpet should be blowen long and hard now to get all users on 4.8.1 |
