![]() ok just installed LW4.8.1...ok things seem fine so far...but I notice PG2 isn't being called upon to do much blocking like it was with LW4.6.0 - just coincidence so far? |

![]() You know Lassie, I have noticed that too, since I have upgraded my LWPro to V4.8.1 and PeerGuardian from V1.99 to V2.0 Beta3 the number and types of organisations blocked have gone down. Does this mean that all those organisations have stopped trying to rummage around inside my PC or are they being auto blocked by LW, i.e. blocked before PeerGuardian can block them itself. Is this the new security feature SBerlin hinted at? Can one of the LW folks "in the know" put us out of our misery and answer these questions? UK Bob |

![]() That's interesting...wonder how it would work if true though, I mean THEY could simply use LW4.8.1 too - to state the obvious. Another explaination could be that LW4.8.1 is not fully backwards compatible with previous, I mean perhaps it's not making as many "connections" to the netwok (I know it still makes 5 er...how do I put it, normal connections) -: our PG2 work load may be being reduced because not as many "connections" are being made. By gum! I'm confusing myself here. To put it another way maybe LW4.8.1 only works WELL with other LW4.8.1 peers - so far, as well as PG2 workload being down, I also seem to be getting few hits on my searches and downloads; also from others sharing from me...This could account for why our benefactors want(ed) all users to change over all at once... Yeah, I'll join you in the euthanesia issue..come on LW KEEPERS and put a lassie dog down!<bfg> |
