why is it that most of my downloads lately have been corrupted files? I don't believe that most of the songs people have on their computers are corrupt?

A couple of people have suggested fixes to those so called corrupt files. There's apparently at least 2 utility apps out there that can fix many. I don't know about all. See these: 1. video-fixer & 2. MP3RepairTool

Why is that all of a sudden we have all these corrupt mp3 files?

Surely if there are say 70 host available for a file then they ALL can't defective.

I have only been using LW for the past 3 weeks and every other file I have downloaded has never been a problem except for the mp3's.

You drive a subaroo do you lol? It's not happened "all of a sudden"! You check out the above link. Have you ever heard of the RIAA & who they represent? They represent the USA music industry & they are trying to kill people's enthusiasm for downlding the most popular new songs by loading up a large no. of computers with T3 type connections with corrupt files. In the link I gave, there's a way to detect if a file is corrupt even before you downld it. ie: check file size v's bit-rate of encoding.

Advice (if the above advice is too difficult for you), choose alternative downld sources for the most popular recent pop songs. eg: choose cable or dial up.

What gave you that idea LOTR?
