Lord of the Rings: Thanks for your reply but what you told me to do, didn't do what I wanted. I went to 'Library'>'Explore'> and my downloaded files are in there BUT I'd like them to be loaded into a file on my 'desktop' not in the 'Explore' folder. Is it possible to do this? I'm used to using Kazaa and it saves files into a folder it creates on the desktop called "Shared Files" |

Um ... the explore button simply opens the folder up for you. It's an easy way to access the folder. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared select shared by right-clicking it & creating the shortcut. Then move this shortcut to wherever you want to such as the desktop. OR select the Send To ... desktop with shortcut instead of the latter. I should have suggested this 1st sorry! |

WHERE exactly can I find this 'string' that will allow me to click on and save as 'shortcut? Thanks Dave |

This is funny b/c I'm a mac person trying to explain it to a windows user. I know nothing about strings. You surely know about right-click right? Find the shared folder & right-click it. If you're not using windows then you'd better say. |

I'm sorry, apparently you don't understand my meaning? So, I'll approach it another way. Where are these downloaded files stored? Is "Library">Explore the ONLY place these files are stored? My concern IS that these downloaded files are building up in the some archived file somewhere and will eventually bog down my computer? How do I delete ALL copies of ANY files downloaded with LW? BTW, cool program, WAY better than Kazaa. Thanks Dave |

Go to Tools>Options>Saving & this will tell you the name, location & path of the LW downld folder. Also note that anything you preview creates a preview file in the incomplete folder. eg: You preview a file that's 60 MB downlded but still incomplete, then it will create a copy of that file of the same size. These have preview added to their name. As said in the very 1st reply ... to access any files LW has downlded or stored temporarily, go to LW's Library window & choose Explore button on either the Saved Files folder or the incomplete folder.
