if i delete songs from comp czan i keep them on ipod...

Hi, my computer has been running very slow for the last month, and when i ran my spyware remover, it said that limewire has spyware and that i should delete it but i didnt. Im thinking about deleting everything now (Limewire and my 1550 songs) beacuse i believe that thats whats slowing my computer down plus i have dsl. But the problem is that i have an ipod, and i dont want the songs to delete from the ipod when i delete them from my computer. Is there anyway that i can keep the songs on my ipod when i connect again after the songs are deleted, if i wanna put like a cd on it? Please let me know if theres a way i can do this. Thank You very much.

To start with, your spyware prog is all wrong, get a decent one like adaware or spybot, there is absolutly no spyware in Limewire if you have downloaded from www.limewire.com

If you uninstall Limewire all your music will still be in your shared folder.
Your Ipod and computer have nothing to do with each other, once your music is on your Ipod, throwing your computer out of the window will not affect the music on your Ipod
:D

ok, ad-aware the program itself has spyware in it so i dont use that anymore. i dont use spybot because it was messing things up and i tried the recovery but i didnt do anything. Even if limewire dosent contain spyware, i just dont feel confortable with it because everytime i have it open my computer goes very very slow and that shouldnt happen because i have dsl.

ok, that wasnt my wasn't my question, my question was...if i delete the songs that are in my shared folder, is there anyway that when the next time i connect with my ipod say if i want to put like a cd on my ipod, that the songs will stay on my ipod and wont delete even though there deleted from my shared folder. Is there anyway i can do this? Im sorry if i seem rude but i dont mean to. Thanks

Your iPod is a separate machine. It has nothing to do with what you have in your computer except your computer is a conduit to the songs. any other time you use a CD in your iPod does it erase the songs on the iPod??Lastly, you are totally uninformed about LimeWire and ad-aware. Your newness to computering shows through when you claim they have spyware after all the most reputable sites on the net ie: cnet, zdnet cite there is no spyware in these programs. You came here asking us for help, answers. We gave them to you to the best of our ablility.

Well Salcas

If you can't read a sticky and figure out if it answers your question, who am I to tell you!

If you can't understand what other members are saying ....

And if you can't figure out how to use the forum search function.

Well your pretty much on your own then.

You must remember this is a forum, and we are volunteers that try and help, but you have to take some initiative also. Not everything is handed to you with a golden platter and silver spoon.

Have a great evening:D
