Limewire users: Do you share or not?

I just want to know what other people do. So do you share or not?

et voilà March 28th, 2005 11:40 AM

Of course, Gnutella (the network LW is on) is a peer to peer network, which means that you only download things shared by other users. If you don't share, you parasite the network and lower downloads availability and average download speeds. SHARE!!!

:D

stief March 28th, 2005 11:58 AM

ditto to et voilà's comment.

RaaF March 28th, 2005 12:17 PM

In fact, if no one would share there would be nothing to download (apart from Ipod spam)

fabion March 28th, 2005 12:44 PM

If no one shared. There wouldn't be any files to d/l. I share whenever the comp. is on.

I agree with what et volia, stief, and RaaF said.

If nobody shared there wouldn't be a network.

et voilà March 28th, 2005 01:36 PM

(where are going around in circles guys)

If there would be no sharer, nobody would want to use gnutella and the network wouldn't exist today.

Not sharing is not caring, sharing is caring.

Blocking uploads is like you stopping feeding your pets, they would live not so long thereafter.

A network exists because of content, no content = no network.

They say the best thing to do is to share experiences with others.

Did you know that when there is an upload on your client, that means there is a download on another client?

"I like the iPod scam, in fact it always come in my searches when there are not any other results because some do not share the files I want to download."
-et voilà

etc, etc, etc

Edit: as per Stief comment about doing circles...

I have songs downloaded and there not shared..... How Do i turn them into shared?

fabion March 28th, 2005 03:59 PM

In LW tools>options>sharing --- click add --- this will open a window you can locate the folder with. Once found click select, and it will be added to shared.
