Can you clear Search field?

Is there a way to clear the search field? If I search 'new', then everytime I type 'n', 'new' will come up in the search field...Is there anyway to clear previous searches?

In LW tools>options>view>Autocomplete Text --- Uncheck the box ---- Enable Autocompletion of Text Fields

autocomplete is one of those "handy apps" that seems like it should be useful but in my experiece I have found it to be mostly annoying....

Hey--don't dis da autoc I like that feature. Just keep typing as if it isn't there.

btw--one of the opensourcers has already added a "clear" function to the search box. I hope it makes it into the next release.
