Hi - I'm new on here but I just wanted to ask if anyone has payed for LIMEWIRE PRO 4.8.1 using PAYPAL. i PAYED FOR IT ON THE 12TH MARCH 2005 and when I got my bank statement I was horrified to see that I had been charged £480.02 - which is $900 !!! and am now over drawn and have sent paypal various emails as well as limewire - with no replies so far - has this happened to anyone else as I need some help ???

If you've not gone to the official limewire site and you paid it to some other rip off merchant then you've no comeback. I'm pretty sure Limewire will advise you if you had officially gone through them and followed their link to paypal.

HI GUYS AND GALS AGAIN - THANKS FOR THE REPLIES - - MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS VALID WITH LIMEWIRE AS IT COMES UP WITH A DOWNLOAD WHAT OPERATING SYSTEM I HAVE FOR IT - SO I THINK I HAVE GONE THROUGH THE LEGIT SITE OF LIMEWIRE.COM , AS I HAD THE TRIAL FREE VERSION FOR A GOOD FEW WEEKS BEFORE I DECIDED TO HELP OUT THIS GREAT SITE FOR THE PRICE OF AROUND £10 - WHICH I THOUGHT WASNT TOO BAD A PRICE TO PAY !!! LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT IT WOULD COST ME NEARLY A 100 TIMES MORE ! IVE STILL HAD NO REPLY FROM LIMEWIRE AT ALL - HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE NORMALLY TO RESPOND ??

An update on where I'm at - phoned up PAYPAL in USA -on the phone for 1 hour !!! - hope that 1899 thing works Lancslad ! Apparantely someone in December used my Paypal account to the tune of £465 and took it out of my paypal - so when the next time I used it - I got charged this £480 for Limewire - so I'm now sending off evidence to Paypal in the USA that I had no idea of this and waiting for them hopefully to investigate it and to get my money back - Be aware everyone of what you do on line - I never thought this would happen to me - it has - I still have no idea how this person has got my password for my paypal account . Thanks for the help from Lancslad and Luckydawg !!
