Host chat question

I was downloading something overnight (limewire 4.8.1), and this morning and I got a host chat message. By the time I saw the message the person had logged off. I was just wondering how you can contact another user of limewire without having to find their share files first? I know the persons I.P address. They just put an interesting question to me that I would like to answer.

Somebody might come up with a better answer but if you have the address you might attempt to direct connect with them.

A direct connect is a type of search you can do to try to connect to them directly. Once connected of course you can chat with them. See: How to Direct Connect, Browse & Chat
