Default Searching Issue - Irritating.

What is the purpose of having additional search fields for title, artist, album, year, etc.? They are not really functional. Let's say I want to search for ***** (it's off his upcoming album on May 10th). It will find about three files, surrounded by four-hundred other songs by Pitbull, and quite often a hundred or so not even by that artist. But why? I typed ***** for 'title' and ***** for 'artist'. The application really only ran a search for the artist.

How do I fix this problem? If it doesn't have a current fix, then I'd like to report it as a bug.

* And I'm using LimeWire v4.8.1 Pro, and I have Java 5.

LW's search function will hook onto anything that has a part of that name in it. Be it in the mp3 id tag or band name or artist or album, etc.

Putting .mp3 at the end of the title can help. Also don't be tricked by this: autogenerated spam results

I'm not sure why audio searches treat the terms as if they were "or"

This problem has been reported for a while. Gnutella is supposed to treat the terms as if they were separated by "and", but it doesn't seem to work too well. I just use the "Any Type" search.
