can't browse or chat
 

Hey,

I've been trying for a while now to direct connect with my friend but every time I enter his IP address it says "can't browse host". He tried direct connecting to me and will able to easily once I disabled my firewall. He disabled his firewall also so that isn't the problem. I even tried having him downloading a song from me and then selecting browse host from there but it's in red(as opposed to the normal black font color) and it won't even let me select it for some reason. The chat option is also the same.

This happens with pretty much everyone else uploading from me and if the browse option actually is available then once I click on it it just says "can't browse host" like before.

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong? Thanks in Advance.

also, I use the latest version and so does he, I have a more advanced java thing though

Chat should be enabled.

Need to have free upld & downld slots & bandwidth. If either are too busy then you're going to struggle to DC. (Try opening up more upld & downld slots under Tools>Options>....)

How to Direct Connect, Browse & Chat But it's not always easy. Sometimes there's no easy explanation if it doesn't work.
