Excluding file types from search results

I should like to not receive any search results for wma files. The only way I can see to do this is to make a filter for the word "wma". This works fine, but also excludes words like snowman, which is a bind if, for some reason, I should want to search for such a word.
Is there any way to exclude certain extensions, other than the one or two that can easily be excluded in Options/filters/keywords? Thanks
