Questionalble sites I have noticed recently (it could have been doing this longer but I just didn't notice) that some tunes I search for will display a great number that are almost exactly alike. They show 4 stars, 10 connections, exact title, and are T3 or Higher. The size is different. Some will be in the 1000kb range but some are up in the 10,000 range. This looked suspicious to me but I downloaded a couple. One began playing normally, then after about 15 seconds it started over and continued this only playing about 15 seconds and restarting. One of the 10,000 downloaded quite quickly and said the time would be 14 minutes. BUT (always a but in the crowd, huh?) it was all silence. I'm looking right now at B**** C**** and there are 354 files available. About 300+ are as above. Anyone know what this is about? Last edited by 6_pac; August 10th, 2009 at 01:28 AM. |

It's suspected that it's an anti-p2p sharing tactic to stop people sharing the most recently released pop songs. See: T3 Spammers; mp3 Bit-Rates Versus File Sizes & I suppose this one if it applies: autogenerated spam results |
