![]() New user. Just trying to get up to speed. I've downloaded a movie. Now how do I view it? Any help would be appreciated. I see how to view the trailer but how do I access the downloaded info? Thanks. |

![]() Some points that might help: 1. Movie download issues 2. VLC is generally a reliable player b/c it has in-built codecs: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose nearest mirror site) & its abilities can be seen here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html To set VLC as default video player see: Setting Default video app 3. If you'd prefer to use your present player then you should arm yourself with sufficient codecs: http://www.land.ee/d_nimo_codec.html OR http://www.free-codecs.com/ 4. You will find your downlds here: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared so that's where you should direct your player to find them. 5. Before you downld a video it can be a good idea to do a Bitzi search to see if there's any reports about it. Right-click (mac use control-click) on the file in the search results & choose Bitzi Web lookup & your browser will open. If there's any info about it then it will show you. Users report whether a file is good or bad. I recommend you also add reports to help Bitzi be more efficient. They need as much input as possible. You can also search the Bitzi site for what you want to downld. Then click on the magnet link below the report or type it into your browser address bar. This will then send the file to LW to start downlding. I'll leave a link later to how to do this. Got it: Bitzi Web Lookup ... (click on link) It's often a good idea to preview a video as you're downlding it to make sure it's ok. But be aware that every video you preview will leave a preview file in your incomplete folder. After downlding this Preview file should be deleted as it will take up space. It will be named something like Preview-32311-home video.avi Last edited by Lord of the Rings; May 17th, 2005 at 09:53 PM. |
