What? You Internet slows down or your PC?
If it's the Internet then that's most logical since bandwidth is being used by LW.

he said pc..... so ill take it he meant that. limewire is based on java, and this means its gonna be quicker to take those resouces than oprah to a baked ham.. or something like that. limewire is kind of.. greedy, i must admit.

How much slower does ur pc run?
do u belive its slower than it should be running at in the circumstances?
Make sure ur pc isnt running heaps of other crap, for example adware or useless utils.

when you say slow. is it only slow when using LW and still fast when surfing the net. Or. Is your machine slow since installing LW? You may want to use a utility like spybot etc or check to see if you have any apps running in the background.

Unhappy Slooooow!

If you want to surf, check mail, etc...you must shut lmwr down during this time, unless you ejoy a 5 min wait for any page to open...just the facts, as lmwr takes much of the capability of your comp to do anything else, including the playing of games...it is only a minor interuption. Sometimes, if you close, it will appear in your lower right tool bar...without your knowledge, it is still running...this can also slow things down tremendously, so check and close if there. Just Kea

Yo, indi

You say that you have a P4 Chip? What chip is that?

I am running WinXP SP2 (auto updates on) P4, 3.2GHz with 1Gig DDR400 Ram, 256MB ASUS V9570 TD Video Card & I can tell you that I have the following open.....

ARES, LimeWire, Outlook(check mail every 3 min), IE browsing + - 4 pages etc and this is when I am not busy.....

So you will excuse me for not understanding why you say your machines is slow???? Check your software..........

All the best
