The US Supreme Court has made it's ruling and things now look very bleek for P2P networks and users the world over:

you state world wide thats not true only in the US, if they ever shut it down here there will be plenty of foriegn countries that will allow the sharing, however they could proscute you here if they caught you.

You will find that where the US leads, the world usually follows and if the US feels strongly about something, it has the economic power to enforce compliance.

If and when the government shuts down the file sharing networks there will be others that will take their place. They shut them down and more will pop up. It will be a never ending and very expensive battle for them.
