codecs

hi im new to all this downloading of films .
i have down loaded a film and when i go to play it it says need codecs for it to run.
can anyone help me?

A list of CODECs sources can be found here (choose 1 source): 1. Free-Codecs.com, 2. Nimo’s codec pack, 3. CoDecs & codec identifiers, 4. K-Litecode Codec Pack

* AND get a back up player such as VLC (which has in-built codecs): http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose nearest mirror site)

Go here--->http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html and get G-spot then test your film with it and it will tell you what codecs you need. Then you can google for them.
