(NO) you will find it harder to get files on WinMX than on LW the user has allot more controll over who they share with on WinMX and it can be verry dificult to find sombody to share with, on LW you put your search in and it will connect you if anybody is available. Allot of people on WinMX are running MXMonitor along with WinMX MXMonitor is a anti leach tool that can be set to block people who do not share and it works verry well I might add I wish LW had somthing like it most people set it to where a person has to be sharing 20 files or it will reject your Qs. It can also be set to auto uploade if you have a file that sombody is searching for and they have one you are searching for it will auto start them and if they dont start you within a coupple of minutes
it will shut them off.People who have allot of popular files can do fairly well with WinMX butt you will still do better with LW

Q: is WinMX better than ANY Gnutella client?

A: Absolutly not. In terms of P2P technology, Gnutella is litterally YEARS ahead. In terms of rare content from some part of the world WinMX *may* be better. On download speed and download availability, there is no contest at all.

Why was that question asked again? (it could have been a debate in 2002, but 2005 )

Ciao

WinMX is a very Good Concept however the developers should have perhaps left it at that point; therefore saving themselves a lot of embarrassment...
It apears to me that it needs a bloody super computer just to run it, mines only 3.2 ghz.... what does it take?
