shared folder hiya, i was just wondering if you can create different file levels within the shared folder or if you had to leave them all listed. don't wanna stop aomeone being able to upload any files xxxxx  |
Well you can choose to share folders within folders. With the new beta you can choose which files within folders to share even. For the 1st point, within folder A is folder b, c & d. You share folder b. And within folder c is folders e, f & g. So you share folder f, etc. |
im gunna sound really stupid but i dont quite get it. i created a new folder in the shared folder and moved some files into it then when i went into the library of lime wire and refreshed the files disappeared but when i moved them back out of the folder they appeared again. i looked at the sharing status of the folder and it said that the sharing facilities had been disabled because the folder was in use in another place which it couldnt have been cos i just created it!! :( |

By default the Shared folder is your downld folder. If you wish to share other folders then create them how you like & add them like THIS (click on link) Put them somewhere else out of the Shared folder. Else unshare the Shared folder, create new folders within it & choose those to share. |
you are a genius thank you very much. That info is really helpful because i was just going to start looking for a tool to copy cds in an mp3 folder. I have been told in the last couple of days to use a p2p called soul seek, i dont suppose you know about it do you? is it any good? or are you a limewire fan? |
I've never used it. I have a suspicion it runs on a totally different network. And it's a much smaller network meaning less people & less files. But from what I just read it looks ok. :) |
