watching my movies

i just DL my LW and say that i can also DL movies and not just music. thanks forum~i need help though watching some of my vovies though that are avi. format. when i click them it send me straight to windows media play which says, "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." what can i do guys, i have Roxio and windows media center, what do i do?
