![]() your advertisement said the program was downloadable for free. I could not find the site anywhere. I finally decided to purchase the life time package at $27.98. You then added another $9.98 for some software I neither ordered or want. I went to the Pro page and they wanted even more money. I want a refund. If there really is a free download page, please send me the link. If there isn't a free download you are posting false advertising. Last edited by ditto555; July 21st, 2005 at 06:25 AM. |

![]() Nope you got LW at the wrong site!!! You've probably paid all that money for the free version from a scam site. Please cancel your transaction asap. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...5&pagenumber=1 LW Basic which is free can be got here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml By the way, this is a forum & is not a part of the LW site. And the advertising you saw sounds like it was by scam sites pretending to be LW. |

![]() I was billed for a progam I didn't order, according to my receipt I am being charged an additional $9.98 for NetSpy which I neither want nor need. I want a refund immediately. If Limewire is free, why do you keep asking for a credit card number. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. |

![]() That makes it obvious you didn't purchase LW thru the official site. Please take the above advice! You've been scammed by a site claiming to be representative of LW. There's lots of them. Tell us which one you got your LW from please!???? There's an extensive list of scam sites here: Known Scam Sites |

Scam sites specialise in ripping off gullible newbies and you have just made yourself one of their victims. Your posting shows that you are very angry, too angry to realise that LOTR has given you some very good advice, and your anger is misdirected, probably because you can no longer contact the scam site. You see, they only want your money and credit card details so that they can milk you for all you are worth. Therefore, contact your credit card company or bank, tell them that you were tricked by a site you thought was legitimate but turned out to be run by con merchants who are continually charging your card without your permission, and get your money back. Also, don't forget to change your card details, that will stop the scammers from extracting any more money from you. UK Bob Last edited by ukbobboy01; July 21st, 2005 at 11:31 AM. |
