Using windows media player I can't launch downloaded music and I want to use windows media player to do it. How do I convert the downloads off LimeWire and play them on Windows Media Player? Thank you for any help! |
Make sure wmp is your default program for audio; apply the same principles here but apply to wmp & mp3: Setting Default video app Go to Tools>Options>Player & untick option & press apply button. This won't take effect until next time you open LW. Make sure you have the latest codecs for wmp. For m4a files you'll need the 3ivx codec go to http://www.3ivx.com/ & go to dwnld page & look on top right of page. |
Lord of the Rings, Thank you for your help. I downloaded a song that is in my LimeWire library and it won't launch. The icon next to it is a Windows Media icon. I use to be able to download any song and it would automatically launce in Windows Media, now it doesn't. Thanks, Jim. |
1 Attachment(s) Well something's probably changed in the way you added them to wmp's playlist. I'm not much of a knowledge ('bout anything actually lol :D) bout wmp, but you can manually add them to wmp. Go to wmp's media library tab, press add & direct it to your LW downld folder. Where ever that is. Default location is C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...ibrary-add.gif . |
