I am probably being an idiot but why is every song file i download 25 minutes long and has no music on it. I am trying to get the new Royksopp album and failing miserably.

you should read the forum rules before posting. Perhaps you could rephrase your question before the moderators get to it.

FWIW try d/ling a few unrelated songs, not albums and see if they all come up "blank"
