Ok, I am having an issue with the MP3 files I have been downloading from Limewire. They seem to work great on my computer & do not skip. But once I burn them onto a CD in the audio format they skip or freeze. I was just curious if there is any way to correct this issue or what because it seems to be happening a lot. Thanks for any assistance on this issue.

Try three things:

1. Try another brand of CD-R. A better known brand.
2. Burn the cd at minimum speed possible.
3. Get a CD head-cleaner. Yes they can get dirty. These are usually just a CD with a brush underneath them that brushes the laser tips to remove any dust or gunk.
The symptoms you described sound more like the need for point 3.

Thanks for the help. I'll see if the 3rd one works because I am already burning at 16x and using Sony brand CD-Rs.
