Contact Info.!!!???

HI! I purchased Limewire for the second time, the first being over a year ago, because I got a new computer and wanted the latest version. Well, I paid for it, got my ref. number and my bank account was charged. When I go to the site to get my download, had to get to work that's why I didn't install the first time, The limewire site tells me that i need to upgradce to pro still!!?? I purchased through limewire!! Now I can't get a hold of tech support unless I give them more money and I can't find anyway of contacting them?!!! Please anyone help!!!!!

have you purchased limewire or limewire pro?

>>>a search for "purchasing and limewire" <<< >>>should give you some light reading <<<

AFAIK there is no ref number required or involved.

I'm not answering any more of these

Not a newbie, but scammed anyway

Fenson76

You are not a newbie but you seem terribly confused, to me anyway.

Limewire Basic is free and only scam sites sell it. If you want LW Basic then go to the official site and download it:

http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

LWPro cost $18.88, for that you get 6 months of upgrades/updates and technical support, also available from the above URL.

Now, it seems that you bought your FREE LW from a scam site and, a year later, just beginning to realise "all is not right", the truth has finally caught up with you.

If I am correct then you have joined "The Legions of the SCAMMED" but you just didn't realise it at the time, i.e. you are one of thousands (mainly newbies) who have rushed to scam sites and given them your money for a product that is free.

If I am wrong then let me know.

I purchased Limewire Pro for 18.88 through Limewire and have the documentation from limewire. My bank shows that it was form limewire. The problem is that I didn't use he prior customer discount link and payed full price again. I wasn't thinking. I used the same login email address as before and that is where, I think, the confusion is coming from. Limewire never updated my old login info.
P.S.
I meant order number not Ref. number. sorry

p.p.s
I had limewire pro a year ago. I got updates and everything fine from Limewire. It just expired. I do check the validity of sites where I make a purchase.

OK Fenson76, obviously you are not a newbie and you have not been scammed.

Now, that the confusion is cleared up, I think you have answered your own question.

Just remember when you write in this forum you have to be as clear as possible (you have a worldwide audience), that is the best way to get any help on offer.

If you did get LW Pro then contact them here http://sales.limewire.com/support/? & negotiate with them. But if it did expire I'm not sure if you'd still be eligible for discount. ???

the problem is that only limewire pro customers can contact support!! I am a limewire pro customer but I can't contact them because of the screwup!! I just want a way to contact a live person at LIMEWIRE! The forums are great, but unless a rep. of limewire sees this, I have no way to fix this. This has nothing to do with discounts, I just want access to my product.

Then email them using feedback@limewire.com & make sure you title your email appropriately so they know you were a pro user otherwise they'll ignore it if they know you're no longer a pro user. Supply your details in the actual email.

Thank you! I will do that.

I must make an apology. The fact is that almost every inquiry of this type is a result of a purchase of Limewire basic from a scam site.

I am aware that a few problems are at present occuring with purchasing or renewing Limewire pro legitimately, and hopefully Limewire will make it easier for the legitimate enquiries to get through.
