Choppy Video Playback

How come alot of the videos i download these days are so choppy. They skip alot. They say the incorrect video length. They stop playing before they are finished playing. Why? How can i fix this? Help me please.

All the videos say that they are only 20 seconds when thay are really much longer. I think that it only happens to porn. If you click the seek bar in WMP you will see it is much longer.
