Hey,
I haven't had this problem, but have have to admit I'm still cracking up about entering "Walter Cronkite" and getting teen porn videos. Dag nab it! Walter USED to be the "most trusted man in America"!

Sorry - sorry I can't help with your prob, but at least I'm getting a certain amount of amusement out of the whole thing.

Otherwise, besides running your spyware, anti-virus progs; deleting cookies, etc. and usual maintenance I have no idea what to do. Maybe start watching Katie Couric???

Maybe limewire and other p2p networks should sue the recording industries for releasing virus into the networks. I am positive that 99% of these are made and released by the same people who are suing p2p networks.
Maybe by offering large rewards for information leading to the makers and/or distributors of these, this thing could get turned around, because it is also illegal for someone to make and/or distribute viruses.
Just a thought.

Default More junk - less Sources

I have to chime on all this too. Within the past month, while trying to search and download some talks (usually mp3s), I got lots (over 240 +) files I wanted. Most of them, since being added to my download list, "need more sources" - and when I now type in the keywords again which listed them in the first place, I get lots of junk titles (saying "Not related to ____" [keyword used]) and not many, if any, of the previous listed files. Hey, the subject couldn't have turned that cold! So I'm starting to loose faith in LimeWire Pro - but being a Mac user, have no other place to turn.

What's happening?????

Default Downloads

My first post. I am a new member. I tried to download what I thought was a legit movie (******* ** ** ******** *), but got a completely different movie. I also tried to download *** **** * with B***e W****s, but got some sort of porn. How do I kow which ones are the real deal so I don't waste my time and effort to get nothing?

Spammers rename files just to screw with people and to discourage file sharing.

Check files with Bitzi Web Lookup before downloading. It'll help you sort out if it's a good file or not. While on the Bitzi site, search for the file there and use the magnet link to launch the file in limewire. Then search for it again in LW. That'll help find some good sources for the files.
Also preview the file when it gets to 10-15% to check that it's what the title says.

See this thread for tips on searching and downloading files. How to find music(and movies).

See: Fake files showing up in search results (Connecting for ages with many hosts & then Need More Sources when trying to download a file.)
