I paid $48.00 when i downloaded limewire, but i am not sure what i paid for since limewire is suppose to be free.

Don't forget to change your payment details as well or you will find that you will be making monthly payments for fictitious items.

Still, I am curious to know how you managed to pay out $48.00 without knowing what you paid for.

Simply put, if something is free then you are asked to supply payment details then, common sense says, you abandon the transaction.
