downloading update as a pro user
 

It says I can get free updates for up to 6 months. I haven't had the program for that long yet and I'm not sure how to download the update free. Do i just download the basic package or what?

No Don't get the basic package! go to the download page where it says basic or pro click get pro. You will see a form to fill in for payment, but somewhere on the page it will say "already bought pro?" click that and it will ask for your e-mail address when you first ordered pro. and that's it.
