lost limewire due to pc restore
 

Hi members
I had limewire basic which worked fine then upgraded to pro but had connection problems. Unistalled basic and set McAfee to allow full access and dont use windows firewall but still had connection problems. Had to restore my pc and now lost LW altogether. Went to the LW site and tried reinstall for free but it doesnt recognize my correct e-mail adress! please help

Sounds Like your using windows xp

If you are you can use system restore to undo your last restore, open up system restore and at the first screen click on undo my last restoration then next and the computer will be reset back to what it was before you did your restore

Hi Sgt. and thanx... have did that but still had my connection problems.. have uninstalled the lot!!! I'll look for something else or go back to LW basic

there is no email need for free veersion of LW...

Sorry i did not make myself clear

once you restored your computer to get back to the way it was then we could work to find out why your not connecting.

But if you have saved the program now we might get you up and running

Stamp of the state... thanx but i e-mailed LW to let them know i had paid for the upgrade and wanted to reinstall LW pro again.

Sgt. Thax again for trying to help, but after restore i uninstalled everything.. too hot-headed i guess! :s

Update...
... after purchasing LW basic (which i could've got FREE!) then upgrading to LW Pro (that i had connection problems with)... unistalling due to connection problems... purchasing bearshare with bonus extras (which i didnt even need!), but got Limewire basic again!!! Total cost approx £55!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr :mad:
