a few questions for you: your sound card is functioning?? what music player are you using? what file extension are you downloading in? are you checking the file to make sure they are mp3?

do yourself a favor and dont use the player in LW try to use windows media player or winamp instead. I have never used LWs player myself as I prefer to use my own try a song in another player.

Also what is the connection speed of the files you are d/ling? If it says "T3 or Higher" under the speed column, they might be fake files. Try d/ling from one that says "Cable/DSL" and see if it plays.

For additional info check out this link: T3 Spammers; mp3 Bit-Rates Versus File Sizes

for your own piece of mind Id double check the extensions to make sure they say MP3. and try another player straight away just to make sure you do have sound coming from your system.

Default Windows media player

On your desktop click Start(lower left corner)>Set Program Access and Defaults>Custom, then go down to where it says "Choose a default media player" tick the circle next to "Windows Media Player" then click "OK".

ok yes! thank u. my music is playing with WIndows media player now.
on one of the songs i did download though it didnt work
it said

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

the file looked the same as the other ones, so how do i know which ones not to download ( like if they are corrupt or something?)

THANKYOU
