Is it me or are there almost zero dmg files out there? I've been a long time user of Limewire and haven't seen such low numbers before.

I have always seen a lot of dmg files up until a couple of months ago and seem to see plenty of other kinds of files including.

Can I assume that this is just a result of people cracking down on file sharing?

Yes, with the extension ".dmg"

There are still lots of .dmg but the Windows/Mac users ratio has increased a lot (1,5 millions dl of windows version per week compared to 150 000 for os x...), so it is normal that mac stuff is a little more difficult to find.

Something is wrong with your config. With LW basic, I get that in 10 secs. I get the same thing with "dmg" instead of ".dmg" but note that LW limits searches with only 3 characters to prevent network flooding, so you better place a dot before (.dmg).
