Angry Arrrgh! Finding sources?????

This bothers the **** out of me and I would imagine others too! Anyways, why can I find 20 of the same files I am looking for but when I start to download it cannot find sources? Then to top it off, when I select another song from group it tells me that I already have a file downloading with that same name to use a different name. Now am I wrong to say? If it is the same name, wouldn't that itself be a resource?

thats for anumber of reasons, 1) those users might not be online at the sametime you are, 2) you are behind a firewall and are having trouble downloading because of it, or 3) you havent adjusted your LW settings to accept more sources 4) patience.

You are downloading off of fellow users and even if there are 20 sources available that doesnt mean they are online at the time you are. This happens to everyone on a P2P network.

When you do a search and it shows 20 host that is the # of host that LimeWire found at the time of the search it does not necessarily mean they are available to DL from although the odds are pretty good there will be some host available. It sounds like to me you may have a configuration problem or a firewall issue but it is very hard to tell from your description of your problem.

Answer to your second question NO it is not another source if it was it would be grouped in the original source. It may be the same thing but just slightly different in some way therefore it is not the same.

If you supply a little more information it might help us to figure out your problem.

OS, Windows 98/2000/XP
CPU, P4 3.0 GHz/AMD 64 3200+Ghz
Memory, 256MB/512MB
Video card & platform Radion 9800/Nvidia 6600/ On board intell 580
Connection, Dial-up/DSL
LimeWire Version 4.8.1/4.9.11
Java Version 1.4.2/1.5.4
Are you using a router, Brand/Model#
What firewall you use if any
What Antivirus if any
Are you new to LimeWire or Experienced
An accurate description of your problem
