HiHello No, you can't get them back - If you had deleted them from windows explorer they would have gone into your recycle bin but you deleted them from the library in LW and so they are gone forever. Sorry but a bitter lesson learned. UK Bob |

HiHello You naughty person, you did not say you had WinXP (I should have guessed), system restore may work. You just have to tell XP to go back to presaved point. I have looked at "System Restore" but fortunately never had to use it. Anyway, here's the URL to Microsoft's instruction on how to use this facility. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...emrestore.mspx Good Luck. UK Bob |

Here read this thread: lost my files I rcovered almost 40 GB with that program, after a bad configurated FORMAT disk...(I lost the MBR (master boot record))... I lost almost the entire disk. But that program helped me to recoever it back 100% and I'll never ever forget this !!!!!!!!!! (It took me about 6 hours to complete the recovering process...) But don't forget: the bigger was the activity (of writing data) on the drive that contained the files, the less will be the chaces for you to recover your files. So if the files were on C:\ then your chances are decresing... by every minute that windows is running. Also there is no hope for you if you defragmented that drive since the lost of the files... The 100% chance for you to recover the files is by Shuting Down (even by cutting the power of...(recomanded if the files were on C:\)) the comp. right after you lost your files. After that boot from other Hard Disk (or other Drive (if you have 2 OS's onto your comp)) !!! (with your "old" hard disk connected inside the comp.) and recover the files to the new hard disk (or to a nonimplicated drive) or to a third hard disk. This is 100% Succes Last edited by Dagam3; September 2nd, 2005 at 06:59 AM. |
