Default deleted incomplete files

ok, maybe i'm not doing something right, or something. but, i swear since i upgraded to the new limewire, everytime i have incomplete files, and i log off they aren't there in that incomplete file anymore when i connect the next time. is this because someone in my house is deleting them? if so, is there any way to get back all those incomplete files? such as...last night i was downloading some songs, and they didn't finish before i went to bed. i guess my husband was on here, and he said he didn't delete them...but they aren't there anymore in the incomplete folder! can anyone help?

Are you sure you're logged into the same account? Logging into a different account will place the downld & incomplete folders into a different user account location on the computer. Log in as an admin, then use the search engine to search for incomplete. See how many you find & where they are.

thank you so much for replying! but, i think maybe i didn't explain well enough...ok here is where i'm comfused...my husband and i share a computer. we downloaded limewire, and there's an icon we click on once online and it goes straight to the site, and we click connect and it's ready to download. there isn't anywhere to actually "log in". does that make sense? so, it's our files all together, and we have all the music we download in the same program. i hope i don't sound like a total idiot. you were saying to log in as admin and then i can see where the deleted files are? or did i read that wrong? thanks again for your reply! i appreciate the help! i'm a dummy on here sometimes! haha

Go to Limewire's Preferences/Options>saving>incomplete files. check the number in the box If it reads 0 I think your incomplete files will be deleted eack time you close Limewire. I thought the default figure was 7 days, but I'm not sure, ...... somhow this could have got altered. I set that number to 300 days ... just to be on the safe side! This might be your problem. Let us know either way.
