why when VIDEO FILES (avi) are played.... why do the avi video files just play sound and no video when launched??? anyone's insight on this would be gratefully appreciated!! |
Sometimes a codec is needed to play .avi files. Try downloading this free program then play your file again. www.divx.org Just don't download the program with the converter. You don't need that one. Let us know if this works.:) |
CyberStalker is correct .......unless you have just downloaded the avi "video" file I just have, which is in fact an audio file(with which I am familiar) all along, but is somehow being shared with the wrong title by many hosts. .... I do wish people would check stuff before sharing it! |
thanks cyberstalker :) i went to the site and searched for codec and it gave me a page of different ones, but i don't know which one i need. help! lol i have no experience with this. thanks :) :) |
Sorry libby748! I gave you the wrong site. Try this one. www.divx.com You'll want the bundle not the converter. The bundle is the one with the blue background. |
it worked! :) thanks so much!! |
