LimeWire's legacy is safe now: Thanks to the work of many (trap_jaw and ultracross in particular), installers are available that can keep up with the best features of the LimeWire development. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/forumd...?s=&forumid=86

So, users will be able to have a smooth transition if they choose. Personally, I'm still hoping the US legal system will allow a way for LW to continue without having to be threatened or crippled by incredibly expensive legal fees.

4.9.30 is ok

4.9.37 (the current version) is OK too.

In fact, they should all be OK for a while. I imagine that if the restrictionsever are actually implemented, the news will be pretty widespread. Just keep your old installers to save some time.

Don't worry--we're all hoping LW's leaders will not be forced into restrictions.

I have .30 but in basic and I WILL never part with it and will keep on using it untill the day it stops working. Im not gonna worry about it and neither am I gonna switch to any Limewire clone or knockoff, LW is one of the frew free ones without forced ads or nags to get you to upgrade or pay for a pro.
