This seems to be unrelated to Limewire. Obviously some one has been giving your E-mail addredd out in public forums, or some one has got hold of it and is selling it to spam organisations. This is one reason it if forbidden to use E-mail addresses in these forums. Do not reply to these messages, even to "unsubscribe" That only proves that you have a guaranteed working address. Install and use a suitable spam filter and if things get too bad change your e-mail address.

If you are posting to Newsgroups use a fake e-mail address.

Now where were we ... ah yes Limewire......

Default E-mails

Klatham6

Most e-mail systems have a facility within them to auto delete unwanted e-mails based on certain text within the "Subject" field or on the senders address.

Now you have not said which e-mail software you have but if you check the help files you will find out how to block or auto delete unwanted e-mails or if you use AOL call their help line.

Lightbulb Blue Mail

I use a programme called MailWasher by Firetrust firetrust.com
It filters unwanted content ie you can view mail while it is still on the server and then decide what you want to download to your pc so unwanted mails never get to your system. You can also set your own filters and block the type of trash you mention, ie if you set a filter to block content with words such as tit, excuse me, it will block mails with this word.
This programme has worked fine for me over several years.

Why post to an 11 year old thread? I thought with your experience you would know much better. Posting to such old threads is what spammers normally do. Your link has been removed because it advertises a commercial application that offers a free version with limited options. It also attracted a spammer an hour after your post.
