LimeWire->Options->Saving allows you to choose, create and set a new folder for downloads.

I've merged & moved your 2 postings since they mostly relate specifically to LW. If you go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Saving & you will see the location of your downld folder. You can change this if desired. Don't forget to press apply button after changing.

As for setting up a different user account, you will need to be signed in as administrator of your computer. Then you will need to go to the control panel >Admin Tools>Comp Management>Local Users & Groups & choose Action from the menu bar & choose Add. Any new users will have their own login & user accounts & thus be able to save their files to their own personal area. The default save location is C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared

nice merge--admin duties take longer than quick replies

I don't think it was your windows Lord, stief has to have the fastest fingers in town he replied to one in frostwire at 10:27 PM and then to this one at 10:28 PM. Hell I can't even read them that fast.
