I just started using Limewire and so many of the downloads show a file or program with the same size posted, 851.7 kb shown. And I must add when they are downloaded every one contains a virus warning. Is there a reason for this?

Well most files you'll want to downld will be larger than 1 MB so ignore those sized files. See WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! And also, when your search results come in, you can double-click the top of the Size column & this will arrange all the results with the largest at the top of the search results. I frequently do this.
