I just started this whole thing. I have never downloaded music before. Everytime I try to download something it tells me that everything I choose has no license. How do I find songs with a license?

What it is telling you is that the songs you are choosing are probably copyrighted songs and therefore in many parts of the world are Illegal to download. Most music from popular artist is copyrighted.

I am wondering if you got LimeWire from one of those sights that deceptively advertise free music if you buy there software. If you did you have been scammed LimeWire basic is free and Pro cost $18.88 for Pro and 6 months of free upgrades.

If you did buy it from one of those sites then you need to get a hold of your credit card company and let them know you have been scammed and see if you can get your money back and stop any future charges that company may try to make against your credit card.

Thank you for answering my cry for help. No I got the free basic lime wire set up from limewire.com. How can I get songs that are legal to download and is there a way to block all of the ones that do not have a license? Thank you for helping me!!!

You'll be hard pressed to find any 'legal' songs in Gnutella to download though and there's no real way to block copyrighted material. All the popular songs will be copyrighted in one form or another either by the artist or their record label.

no you wont. what do you have the limewire licence set on? Just keep the amount of files that you share on low numbers. try to dl and see what happens.
