Sphinx, remember, LimeWire is open source, you can modify LimeWire.....

Since FrostWire is a clone of LimeWire, maybe you can request them to put the feature on FrostWire, it wouldnt hurt you to ask

Not worth it. I mainly use it to share and search for rare music. My main P2P app is Bearshare anyway.

Ok downloaded three days again and it never installed the .limewire folder. Downloaded today to do some testing and the newest version has the .limewire preferences folder. Don't know the why. Craziness, maybe?

Either way, I downloaded the latest version, installed it and started Limewire 4 hours ago, it doesn't have a connection yet. So I shut it down, changed the gnutella.net file, 5 minutes later and it still doesn't have a connection.

When I ran the same experiment on 4.6, it had a connection in about 8 to 20 hours. When the gnutella.net file was changed out, it had a connection in about 2 minutes.

MAybe I don't know too much, but I know that if I want to try out limewire, an older version is the better choice. At least I can get a connection.
