![]() Hi, I have a question about this patch, distributed from http://www.download-boosters.com/ Does anybody use this patch? Does it work? What does it exactly? Are there better alternatives available? This is no spam topic, I'm just wondering what people think about these kind of 'add-on's' for Limewire. |

![]() Hmm, so nobody thinks this patch is working. I'm wondering if someone can tell me if there are working patches alike this one or perhaps an ordinary TCP/IP-booster, should that speed up Limewire? Also, does Limewire intensively uses it's connections? I mean, if you have 200 connections available, is that significantly better then, let's say 50? I'll be glad to hear your experiences. |

![]() My lack of ability to speak or understand Dutch leads me to ask where you are coming from on these questions, as your website as far as I can see provides the patches or links to them, and is Called Limewire.nl, but is not afaiks, connected officially with limewire.com. Just a little consused and somewhat curious??????? |

![]() I´m coming with these questions because I´m curious if these programs seem to work (or not). Since no users on our website tell about their experiences, I was wondering if someone on this forum can answer me these questions. Our website is a Dutch community regarding the Limewire-project providing lots of information but it also contains links to related downloads (you´ve noticed it, good job). We want to give people information about these downloads (and we´re curious ourselves too). |

![]() Limewire.nl It seems the best way to find out about TCP/IP Optimisers is to set up a test bench of some sort, this will require you to invest some resources (manpower, computers, research methodolgy) into this endeavour. You must understand that since most people now use broadband TCP/IP Optimisers have become redundant so internet users will have very little, if any, experience of using these small software utilities. Saying that, I use a small optimiser that I was told to use by my ISP, the website, individual settings (MTU, Latency, etc) and anything else that was needed was directed by my ISP. So, I guess, another alternative is that you should check with your ISP about these optimisers, your ISP should know the best ones and corresponding settings that will give their users the best proformance. But if you decide to do this on your own you could end up sending your site users to a scam site like Download Booster UK Bob |
