Default LimeWire (Gnutella) article in ON Magazine: November 2001 issue

I just came across this magazine today and it has a "Digital Music Tutorial", the article is here. http://www.onmagazine.com/on-mag/mag...8784-1,00.html . They show no pictures there, but in the magazine it shows LimeWire and all its features, telling the reader how to use it. Just thought it was cool and wanted you guys to know.

Hi "anti-bearshare"!

Do you know how much files limewire clients download from bearshare clients? I can see it in my "bearshare" prog, if you are anti bearshare you must be anti limewire and anti Gnutella!

Gnutella is one community - Gnutella does not need limewire or bearshare but both clients cannot exits without Gnutella - both using the same net share the same files, as I said if you are anti bearshare...

Think about it!

Nope, I'm pro-LimeWire (that means I'm for and like LimeWire), since you are of the ignorant.

Uhhh yes it does, the clients are the ones that make up the network. There is no network without users.

Yes they can, you can create your own private P2P network.

Nice work Sherlock!

4 to 5 months ago Vinnie was whining and saying somethings that LimeWire was doing to BearShare hosts. Which wasnt true at all. So I took up the alias anti-bearshare, in which many cases BearShare (the program itself, coding and settings) and BearShare users hurt the Gnutella network. But he has gotten a little better. But anyways I just user anti-bearshare b/c I can and want to and if you dont like it **** off.

In the future, I would ask that all of you try to be more considerate of others. It is fine to openly discuss Gnutella and LimeWire issues, but please do not resort to name-calling and insults.

Thank you.

That is a very sexist comment, people on forums like this probably shouldn't have to resort to foul language, but outdated sexism isn't acceptable either.
