number of hits I am wondering why the number of hits are lower than you might think when doing a search. I have yet to have a search result in more than 300-350 songs. I’m just curious why this is, you would think there would be a lot more. Is there a preference somewhere I am missing? Is this based on the number of people with computers actually logged into LW? Also Is there somewhere to read up on how the whole LW thing and network actually works. Thanks |
most of the hits (if you are looking for music) tend to be spams if it less than 1MB. they tend to be some voiceover on music or ipod spam, or whatever. IF your hits is over 1MB, it just that some file are rename or they expend the name |
I don't think it searches every comp. on the network as this would slow it down for everyone. You could consider going with the Pro version which will connect you to more hosts and should get better results. If you do get it here and not from a scam site: LimeWire PRO Some other threads to check out: Skills to continue downlds, Downld speeds, Searching, optimal performance Maximizing upload/download Success with LimeWire |
To add something on 6_pac's comment If you still want a free version that can connect up to 14 hosts, then get Phex. |
So then how many computers or hosts am I connecting to. how do I know? I will give Pro a try. |
